Integration The following synopses of better practices in Integration are draft documents pending review and approval by the Governor and Task Force. Kaiser Permanente (KP) has implemented an integrated delivery system (IDS) in a number of markets in the USA. The key to health care system, health care delivery, and health status improvements is not a function of increased financial incentives alone but rather of fundamental changes in the way services are organized, how a system manages the health care needs of the population, and a shift in priority between primary and specialized care. France has experienced success in the promotion of an integrated health care system approach to prevention, acute and rehabilitative care through their regional hospitals. The hospitals became the central point for coordinating care and development of medical plans for regions.
