GKEN reviewed education and training requirements for 6 health professions in
several countries across North America, Europe, and Asia, to compare standards
of training for the global health workforce. The following reports represent an
overview of education and training requirements for primary care practitioners
and affiliated health professions in Australia, Canada, France, Germany,
Hong Kong (physicians only), Singapore, United Kingdom, and United States.
Data include type of educational program in each country, length of study,
specialty training, licensing/certification, continuing education, and prescribing
